They both migrated from Monterrey, Mexico; however, they crossed paths in Houston. Aaron’s mother was the first in her family of 10 to graduate High School and become a Master’s level, Bilingual Teacher. They were determined to give Aaron and his two older siblings opportunities that did not come easy to them. Aaron attended Fort Bend ISD for his educational career and graduated from Travis High School. With his mother and two siblings in education, Aaron thought he should attempt a different path. He completed his Bachelor’s in Psychology at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) at age 20. Upon completion of his degree, he worked at Northside ISD as a Special Ed. Paraprofessional in a self-contained unit, working with students with emotional disorders. Soon after, he decided to return home to Houston to work as a Direct Therapist at an ABA Clinic. Looking to grow his career, Aaron completed an alternative certification program, where he became certified to teach Bilingual Education and Special Education. What began as a temporary job brought Aaron to this moment. Aaron worked in Fort Bend ISD (FBISD) as an Elementary Bilingual Resource Teacher. He served not only students with disabilities but also students who required support in learning English as a second language. While teaching, Aaron missed the ABA clinic’s behavior aspect and began to pursue his Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). He spent summertimes working at various ABA clinics. Upon completion of his Master’s, Aaron piloted a High Functioning Autism program in FBISD. Following his years in teaching, he accepted a position in Pearland ISD as District Level Behavior Specialist, in which he supported the district’s 23 campuses. Once he fulfilled the requirements and passed the examination, Aaron received the credential of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). With this certification, he was able to return to FBISD as a District Level BCBA. Aaron is passionate about providing ABA Therapy with an emphasis on independence and successfully integrating his clients into the educational setting. Seeing the need in families he has worked with, Aaron wants to support Special Education students with academic support outside the classroom that is not readily available. Additionally, he believes the family is the foundation of a child and considers the family’s well-being as a whole in his treatment.

["post-7","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
